MLA Format- Titles

• Titles in MLA Format should always be centered.
• The Title should not be in caps, underlined, or quoted.
  

In addition, there should always be a double space between the Title and the first line of text.

APA Format - Affiliation is Under Title, Other Information

• Similar to the page number your affiliation should be double spaced under your name.
• It should be in the same place as your name, The Header.
• Other information should also be under the affiliation.

• Your name should always be under the title of your paper.
• Your name should not be in bold, italics, or underlined.

• When labeling pages Last Name and Page Number put them in the top right.

The Title Page in any APA formatted page must contain:

• A Running head (Title must be short and in ALL CAPS)
• The title should be on the left 1/2 inch from the top.
• Page numbers should be on the right in the same line.

Works Cited Page 

• Correctly capitalized, not underlined or quoted 

To make sure that you capitalize the correct words and not underline them or quote them, you would press shift and then the letter you want to type. That or you could press the button labeled Capslock and type the words or word.

• Plagiarism is not accepted in MLA Format or any format for that matter.
• Stealing another persons work is not acceptable, all work should be done in your own words.
• Only when citing or referencing the text is it acceptable to copy someones work word for word.
• The text cited should have proper citation and be in the "Works Cited Page".

No Extra Spaces Around

No Extra Spaces Around Paragraphs

When typing in MLA Format there should be no spaces between paragraphs or in the margins. To prevent extra spacing between paragraphs only press ENTER once after the last sentence in a paragraph. Also make sure to keep the MARGINS to 1 INCH.
